Energy distribution measured with the IEF
The Imaging Energy Filter (IEF) provides both fast imaging capability and energy filtering. The uniquely designed optical system accurately filters a complete PEEM image over the full detector area, resolving the unfiltered image into single distributions of different energies. Each distribution can be attributed to a specific work function, i.e., to a specific chemical phase of the sample. Filtering of the complete image coupled with fast acquisition are unique features for the observation of time dependent systems.
